KeepItNegative is an amateur film (35mm, Ilford Black & White, Fujicolor C200) and digital photographer (Canon EOS).

Raised in the heart of the Scottish Highlands the idyllic surrounding landscape was easy to come by, instilling an appreciation for wide images featuring the rolling hills, heathers and rivers of Scotland's beauty.

 

The appreciation to be able to travel was instilled in me from a young age.  As soon as I was able to afford a camera to take on holiday, I jumped at the opportunity to photograph Europe's unique and historic cities.

My love for film photography and all the nuances that come with it developed from following one of my favourite musicians showcase his and his friend's love for capturing life's moments on 35mm. Purchasing the timeless Canon AE-1 was a moment I will never forget. The intricacies of light, exposure, type of film and the finite amount of shots per reel are things I appreciate on every outing.
